Brick can add the curb appeal you are looking. Here is a good example of a very small job that we designed. The window treatment consists of a 3 course header corbeled out 1/2" every course and a limestone keystone. This window treatment is rather expensive due to the number of cuts required. Notice there are more cuts in the wall than actual full size brick. Columns on the side of the garage add depth and shadows with the recessed panels and corbeled brick at the base and capitals of the columns. We suggested can lights above the window treatment and columns leaving a very 3-D look in the evening.

The pool house in this photo was designed on site. The owner approached us while the framers were erecting the structure. The plan they had in mind was two shallow arched windows above the French doors and a header course window treatment. After a few sketches on a piece of plywood and the possibilities we thought would be perfect, the owner immediately dialed the window supplier and canceled the shallow arched windows that were allready late for delivery. The outdoor fireplace and stamped concrete patio look great next to this beautiful pool house.

Quoined corners and a custom arched entry is a great way to make a statement. The brick are a very clean edged brick and can be very telling when not installed properly.
